Service summary

Forest Farm Peace Garden is a community garden in Hainault which runs a ecotherapy programme for people who have mental health issues.

The aim of the programme is to help people improve their mental and physical health through gardening and socialising outdoors in a beautiful environment.

The garden is a safe, relaxed space, where volunteers participate in a range of activities including food growing, cooking and wildlife conservation. Harvested produce is taken home by volunteers, or cooked and shared at the garden. There are also open days and environmental education activities which volunteers are invited to get involved in.

To access the programme, you must be referred by a mental health support worker, a GP or any other professional who can can provide some background information and act as an ongoing point of contact.
