Service summary

Allotments are available throughout the Borough and they can provide a great way to enjoy the outdoors and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

There are 25 allotment sites across the borough and Vision Redbridge (acting on behalf of the Council) manages 14 of these sites. The remainder are overseen by societies and local organisations.  For a full list of sites and information including special offers, visit the Redbridge Council website.

If you are aged 18 years or over, you can apply for an allotment plot in Redbridge. Rental rates vary and are payable on a annual basis. Special rates are offered to senior citizens or those receiving eligible benefits.

Allotments are available to rent at any time of the year but Autumn is often the best time to apply in order to prepare for the Spring planting. In some circumstances and due to popularity of the allotments, waiting lists are in operation for some sites.
