Disabled Persons Railcard
The Disabled Persons Railcard allows a registered disabled person and an adult companion to get a third-off most standard and first class rail fares throughout Great Britain.
If you have a disability that makes travelling by train difficult, you may qualify for the Disabled Persons Railcard. You can also qualify if you have a sensory impairment, epilepsy or are in receipt of a disability related benefit.
If a child is travelling, they would pay the usual child fare. Although, the adult travelling with them would receive a discount. If the railcard holder is aged 16+, both adults would be entitled to receiving a discount.
How to claim
Visit the Disabled Persons Railcare and download an application form. You must also provide evidence that you qualify for a Railcard. Online applications are launching
