If you or someone you know is being forced into marriage either in the UK or abroad, you can contact the Forced Marriage Unit (FMU).

The Forced Marriage Unit helps and advises people who are being forced into marriage. Trained professionals offer confidential advice and assistance to those who have been forced into marriage, those at risk of being forced into marriage, people worried about friends or relatives and professionals working with actual or potential victims of forced marriage.

Helpline opening hours: 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (an out of hours Duty Officer can be contacted on 020 7008 1500). Please call 999 in an emergency.
