KIDS provides information and support to all parents of children with special educational needs (SEN).
Guidance is given to help parents make appropriate, informed choices for their children's education. At a parents' request they can provide individual support which could include telephone discussion, information sent by post, home/office visits, attending meetings with parents at school and/or with the local authority, support in preparing for meetings and assistance with paperwork or a combination of any of the above.
The service is free and is provided by a charity that aims to meet the needs of disabled children, young people and their families.
