Walk for health programme

Free, organised, weekly walks take place in parks and open spacesacross Redbridge. No booking is required, you just turn up and enjoy the company.

It is theideal way to explore the borough and keep fit at your own pace. You could even volunteer to be a walk leader and receive full training to help to get you started. Maps for historic walks, horticultural, guided walks and orienteering are also available.

Health specific walks

Dementiawalks takeplace everyThursday at 11.00amaround Valentines Park in Ilford. These are for people living with dementia along with their carers and families.

Recovery walksarefor those recovering from a period of illness or those who have experienced a period of immobility.It takes place on the first Sunday of everymonth at 11.00am aroundValentines Park.

Park friends group

Get involved with friends of parks groups. This isa great way to make friends and become actively involved with your park.
