Service summary

Clinical (medical) waste can be collected and disposed of by the Council. The service is free for Redbridge residents and applies to a domestic property or a business. Care homes and businesses may be charged.  

Clinical waste can include yellow bags, sharps boxes, colostomy bags, wound dressings, catheter and dialysis bags. All bags must be tied and stored securely, away from animals and vulnerable persons before they can be collected.
