Human rights refer to the basic entitlements, respect and freedoms that belong to every person in the world. You can find out more about your human rights online and can access support, if you feel that your human rights have been compromised by another individual or organisation. 


Equality Advisory and Support Service
Have you been made redundant because of your age or disability status? Have you been refused housing because of your race? Have you been treated differently because of your sexual orientation? If so, the Equality Advisory and Support Service can help you. 

The Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) can provide a wealth of advice relating to situations where you feel that you have been discriminated against because of your race, age, faith, disability and gender. The Service operates a helpline which help individuals with issues where their human rights have been breached or they have been victimised.


Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) 
The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is a statutory body has the responsibility to protect, enforce and promote equality across the seven "protected" grounds of age, disability, gender, race, religion and belief, sexual orientation and gender reassignment. The EHRC provide advice and guidance working to implement an effective legislative framework raising awareness of your rights.
