Service summary

The Redbridge Handy Person Scheme provides a practical service to vulnerable residents by carrying out odd jobs and small-scale repairs to their home. The service is provided at a low cost depending on the scheme eligibility. 

The types of jobs include changing light bulbs, installing locks, spy holes and security holes, small plumbing repairs, fitting draught excluders, replacing broken toilet seats and making safe trip hazards. 

You must be at least 60 years old, or any age if you are disabled or, have a long term illness. 

IMPORTANT: Please make sure you always ask for identification before letting anyone inside your property.
